The Sound Money Institute is and educational organization dedicated to the stability and soundness of the United States Dollar. Faced with unprecedented pressure to spend beyond its means the United States Government has pressured the Federal Reserve Bank to monetize the debt or in other words they are printing currency to fund deficit spending by the US Treasury. The Institute studies this and other monetary and ecomomic trends and presents its research to the public in a number of publication. The primary vehicle for publishing our research online is this website, www.soundmoneyinstitute.com. The Sound Money Institute is a project of the Western Center for Journalism an IRS recognized 501 c 3 organization.
